Pull up the emergency brake.

When you park your car on a hill, you pull up the emergency brake to make sure the car doesn’t go backwards and slip down the hill. The emergency brake is a back-up to ensure that your car is safe.

You need that same back-up for yourself. There are times you may be doing too much. You need to take a rest and make sure you “do not coast downhill.” The best way to do that is to pull up your own emergency brake and stop for awhile. Take some time for yourself. Rejuvenate. Do something, even if it is something small that makes you feel great.

Have an awesome day and a wonderful week-end.

Listening is a gift.

There is a big difference between hearing someone and truly listening. When you listen, you put your entire attention on the person speaking. Take time today to listen – really listen, not only to what a child says, but also to what the child is not saying too.

Have a great day.

Turn on the faucet.

Water cannot flow until the faucet is turned on. You get to turn on the faucet of learning for your students.

Have a great day. You are a difference maker.

Teaching is like dancing.

Teaching is like dancing. When dancing to the different beats of music, there are times you move quickly, times you move slowly, and times you pause and wait. The beat of the music determines your movements. It is the same with teaching.

Have an awesome day and a wonderful week.
